The FamilySAFE Shelter was built for durability and dependability. It is an all welded steel unit engineered to exceed FEMA’s performance criteria. This is accomplished by building a “NASCAR Type” safety cage and surrounding the occupants with class-three bullet resistant steel on the roof and all sides. The unit can support over 100,000 pounds stacked on top of it. That’s about 25 mid-sized cars. The unit has a very low threshold, allowing for easy entry by any person in a wheelchair or walker.
